Your Lifebuilder Inspirational Quote & Reflection on Our Deepest Fear is Not That We Are Inadequate...

This inspiring quote from a book called A Return to Love  by Marianne Williamson was quoted by Nelson Mandela in his first speech for 27 years when he was released from prison in 1990, so many people think he wrote it.

B
ut his subsequent words and actions showed that he was clearly deeply influenced by it as he practised forgiveness and reconciliation to heal some of the wounds over 40 years of apartheid had caused in South African society.

Marianne Williamson's book was her reflection on another book called
A Course in Miracles, which is quite possibly the most profound 'spiritual' book ever written and certainly the most comprehensive text explaining what true forgiveness is and how anyone can practise it in their daily life to live in a miraculous rather than fearful way.

So, the ideas contained in the Course (as it's students affectionately call it) were responsible for the miraculously peaceful transfer of political and economic power to another ethnic group, something that had never happened before.
And we enjoyed a few years of relative freedom, peace and prosperity when Mandela was president that are now a distant memory for those who lived in South Africa during those halcyon years.

What's happened since Mandela retired in 1999? Why does the country now find itself mired in political corruption, economic stagnation and a lockdown that denies its citizens many of the freedoms that Mandela and his colleagues fought so long and hard to achieve?

The answer, in a nutshell, is a
failure by its leaders since then to follow the spiritual principles that Mandela embraced and expressed in his leadership of the country. (In case you're not South African, the same could be said of almost every country currently in lockdown.)

Why am I telling  you all this and how is this relevant to your life, you well be asking yourself.

Well, you may not be able to do anything about the situation in your country and the world, but you can do a lot about how you perceive and respond to it.
In fact, that's the only power you really have in the face of any difficult situation - you can always change the way you think and feel about it.

If you're
feeling worried about the future, angered by the current impositions on your freedom or any other form of negative emotion in reaction to what's happening in the world right now, I'd like to invite you to join me for a Deep Dive into understanding and living by the same miraculous principles that Mandela held dear and which helped him transform a nation.

Starting next Sunday (the 24th of January), I'll be facilitating a 6-Week Online Course based on the teachings of A Course in Miracles designed to teach you...
